Hello! I’m Megan Lindsay.
I love food. Sugar to be exact. I grew up eating ALL the processed junk. I used to eat a can of ravioli and a cosmic brownie every day at lunch and wash it down with a Pepsi. I hated vegetables. I went to the gym when I felt like it and was fairly active in school sports and because I didn’t “look” fat, I thought I was healthy.
I also struggled with infertility, depression, anxiety, eczema, cavities, and fatigue in my 20’s. My family history is riddled with diabetics, and I was on the fast track to join them.
When I started to gain weight in my 30’s, I tried semaglutide. I thought it was my golden ticket, my easy way out. Until the side effects had me malnourished, losing my hair, constipated and vomiting. And all the weight (mostly muscle) that I finally lost, came right back as fat, plus more.
I’ve been a Registered Nurse for 10 years. I have given thousands of pills to patients in hospital beds. Each one of them a tiny bit of hope. But the truth is, our healthcare system is focused on profit not your true health.
I realized all of these things were connected when I started educating myself. I realized doctors and nurses are mostly ill-equipped with the nutrition knowledge, resources and time to teach our patients how to truly obtain health and prevent the disease they are laying in that hospital bed for. I realized there is a huge gap between obtaining real health and the healthcare model. People are sent home to handle their health themselves and are often lost.
This plagued me so much that I felt true dissatisfaction in my nursing career. There has to be a better way. As I struggled with my own sugar addiction and inability to stick to any routine I set for myself, I dove deep into the health and wellness black hole. It took years to sift through all the information out there. It’s overwhelming.
How is anyone supposed to make heads or tails of it? Don’t worry, that’s what I’m here for. I’ve cracked the code.
I refuse to live a life without McD’s fries or a bowl of Crunch berries. But I also live in fear of developing the diabetes that plagues my ancestors. So I figured out how to integrate the most important health strategies into my life while still enjoying every bite of it.
And I’m here to teach you everything I know. To help you build the healthy foundation of habits, so you’re not spending your later years in hospital beds. So you can finally lose the weight naturally and sustainably and enjoy all the benefits that follow it!
Lets reboot your health.
